WhatsApp Business API Terms

1. What this covers

Kreeda lets an Academy connect its own WhatsApp Business account through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform (Cloud API) to send fee reminders, receipts, class updates, event notices and one-time passwords. Kreeda also uses WhatsApp to send verification codes on its own behalf. These terms apply in addition to our Terms & Conditions.

2. Meta's terms apply

By connecting WhatsApp you also agree to Meta's WhatsApp Business Terms of Service, WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy, WhatsApp Commerce Policy and Meta's platform terms, as updated by Meta from time to time. Meta may review, restrict or suspend a WhatsApp Business account at its own discretion; Kreeda has no control over those decisions.

3. Your WhatsApp account

• The Academy owns its WhatsApp Business account, phone number, display name and Meta Business verification. Kreeda does not own or resell WhatsApp numbers.
• The Academy provides its phone number ID and access token in Kreeda settings. The access token is encrypted with AES-256-GCM before it is stored, is never shown back in full, and is used only to send the Academy's messages.
• The Academy can disconnect WhatsApp at any time from Settings, which stops all WhatsApp sending from Kreeda for that Academy.

4. Opt-in and consent

• Only message people who have given clear opt-in consent to receive WhatsApp messages from your Academy, for example at admission or in the parent app.
• Keep a record of consent and honour opt-out requests promptly. Parents can also turn off WhatsApp notifications in their Kreeda preferences.
• Do not buy, rent or scrape contact lists, and do not add numbers of people with no relationship to your Academy.

5. Message templates and content

• Messages sent outside the 24-hour customer-service window must use templates approved by Meta. Template categories (utility, authentication, marketing) are decided by Meta.
• Utility messages — fee due, payment received, class cancelled — should be used for genuine account updates, not promotions.
• Marketing messages must follow Meta's policies and applicable Indian law, including the TRAI rules on unsolicited commercial communication.
• Do not send content that is unlawful, misleading, adult, violent, discriminatory or inappropriate for children, or that requests sensitive data such as card numbers or passwords.

6. Charges

Meta charges for WhatsApp conversations or messages according to its own pricing, category and country rates. These charges are billed by Meta (or its billing partner) to the Academy's WhatsApp Business account and are separate from your Kreeda subscription. Kreeda is not responsible for Meta's charges and cannot refund them.

7. Delivery and quality

• Delivery depends on Meta, mobile networks and the recipient's device. Kreeda shows the delivery status Meta reports but cannot guarantee delivery or read receipts.
• Meta may limit sending based on your quality rating. High block or report rates can lead to limits or suspension of your number.
• Kreeda may throttle or pause sending from an Academy that appears to be sending spam or violating these terms.

8. Data handling

To send a message, Kreeda passes the recipient's number and the message content to Meta. Meta processes that data under its own privacy policy. Kreeda stores message logs (recipient, template, time, status) so the Academy can see what was sent. See our Privacy Policy for details.

9. Responsibility

The Academy is responsible for the messages it sends and for complying with Meta's policies and applicable law. The Academy agrees to indemnify Queo Technologies against claims arising from its WhatsApp use. Report misuse to support[AT]kreedasportsacademy[dot]com.
